Following the firm’s high profile stand at the last Reifen show in Essen at the end of May, Petlas is promoting its range of 4×4/SUV tyres. The company reports that these tyres “are being designed to meet user needs whether use them in off-road or highway”. However, the firm has also begun manufacturing more tyres equipped with run-flat technology, including run-flat equipped 4×4/SUV tyres.
Recent initiatives to increase awareness of the Cooper tyre brand in the UK and Europe have yielded positive results, and therefore Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe not only intends to continue these efforts, it has begun extending them to the Avon brand. During Reifen 2016, Tyres & Accessories caught up with Jeff Schumaker, managing director and vice-president of the tyre maker’s European operations, and discussed where Cooper Tire Europe is heading with its two brands in regards to products, positioning and promotion.
At its beach-themed Reifen 2016 stand, Dutch retreader Obo Tyres shared details of a new area it has branched out into. The company has begun retreading drive rollers and rubber agricultural tracks, and displayed a number of these products at the show. The tyre retreader considers the addition of these products to its retreading portfolio a logical step for the company.
Not only was Hankook Tire present at Reifen 2016 with products from its flagship Hankook brand, including its new Ventus Prime³ comfort tyre and innovations such as Sealguard and sound absorbing foam, the South Korean manufacturer also presented its second brand, Laufenn, which is now being introduced into European markets.
According to Pavel Puskov, the company’s deputy commercial director of sales, visitor activity was so great that the team at PSJV Rosava wasn’t left with a minute to spare during Reifen 2016. “It should be noted that the stand of our company had very good attendance, as compared to the other participants,” he comments.
Delticom, the German-based online tyre retail and wholesale firm, presented its entire range of B2B Services during Reifen in Essen. According to company representatives, which market themselves as yourtyres.co.uk over here, the trade fair appearance proved extremely positive, resulting in “hundreds of interesting and constructive discussions with international clients and media representatives.”
Tech Europe (EMEA) reports that the company had a “hugely successful week” at the last Reifen Show in Essen. During the course of the even Tech Europe showcased its online portfolio of Tech tyre repairs and wheel service solutions, presented developments in TPMS, including the new OE-R TPMS sensor programme, the new VT36 Diagnostic Tool and the Tech T-Pro configurable sensor, showed its expertise in retreading and OTR repairing, displayed its Pang Industrial range and introduced a new range of mounting pastes and hand-cleaners.

Enjoy Tyre reports that the introduction of its Routeway brand at the recent Reifen Show in Essen, Germany – the firm’s primary objective at the event – was a success.
Routeway joins Rotalla as “a quality alternative choice to premium tyres”. According to the company, both brands with their full summer and winter ranges attracted enthusiastic attention from visitors throughout the four-day event.
S&H Tyres was present at Reifen for the sixth time in 2016, with a large section of the stand designed to present the new V-Netik private label. V-Netik offers an extensive range of consumer and commercial tyre fitments.
Heuver Tyrewholesale reports that the four exhibition days at Reifen 2016 were a “great success” for the company. The Netherlands-based wholesaler placed a strong focus on Aeolus and Barkley at the show – Barkley, still a relatively new brand for Heuver and a Reifen newcomer, gained its own show stand, while the Aeolus tyre range was represented in a large, open exhibition space shared with Heuver.
Spanish tyre brand Membat returned to Reifen this year with a stand twice as large as its 2014 show presence. The 100 square metre exhibition space not only housed the seven summer and winter tyre lines for cars, SUVs and vans sold under the Membat name, it also contained ample space for meeting current and potential clients.
The recent Reifen 2016 in Essen, German was a “constructive” show for Singapore-based Stamford tyres. Larry Lee – vice president for international distribution at Stamford – pointed out that an all-new range of bus tyres for the mid-tier market sector were being launched for the first time in Europe plus a series of new wheel designs and colours from Stamford Sport Wheels (SSW) popular Euro Technik range will be showcased which are specifically produced for the European alloy wheel sector.
For the first time, Hamaton Limited was present at Essen with a108 square metre booth. Hamaton Limited is the European headquarter of Hamaton Automotive Technology Co. Limited and was only founded in 2015. The company is both a European TPMS technical centre, and a sales and distribution platform for the wide range of Hamaton manufactured products in Europe.
