Dmack has unveiled its first new gravel tread pattern for WRC cars in the FIA World Rally Championship in five years. The DMG+2 has been used since 2012, helping it into the lead in five WRC events and to win 47 gravel stages. It makes way for the new DMG+22 at Rally RACC – Rally de España, where Dmack tyres won their first WRC stage in 2012. The new DMG+22 tyre features the same tread pattern which has been used successfully in WRC 2 and WRC 3 this season. Dmack states the tyre should be more suited to the final three events remaining this year.
Osian Pryce and Dale Furniss have won the Drive Dmack Fiesta Trophy following a thrilling final round in Spain. The Welsh pairing narrowly held off a gutsy late challenge from Max Vatanen. The championship was, for the third time in as many years, in the balance until the very last stage of the season finale. The trophy, sponsored by tyre brand Dmack, aims to provide a training ground for budding world rally stars.
Dmack has launched the 2015 edition of its Drive DMACK Fiesta Trophy with a new car and an expanded line-up at the Autosport Show 2015. The series for emerging rallying talent is driven by tyre manufacturer Dmack and rally preparation experts M-Sport. It is competed over six rounds and five FIA World Rally Championship events, to which Dmack has been a tyre supplier since 2010.
The inaugural season of the Drive DMACK Fiesta trophy ends at Rally de España over the weekend, and the tyre manufacturer behind the competition has confirmed that the Fiesta Trophy will return in 2015. Appearing at five rounds of the FIA World Rally Championship, the series, designed as a cost-effective way into top level rallying, proved popular after being oversubscribed at the start of 2014.
