Point S adds electric vehicle focus to UK network growth

Point S

Founded in France in 1971, Point S Group is now present in 48 countries across four continents. Point S officially launched in the UK in 2011 and therefore celebrated a decade on these shores last year. Just as Tyres & Accessories was on-hand when pre-launch discussions were taking place on the fringes of the Reifen Essen show back in 2010, while the market prepared for Tire Cologne 2022, we caught up with network manager Wayne Daniel in order to find out more.

Nordexx enters OTR tyre segment

We’re familiar with the Nordexx brand, which NDI Group A/S first launched as a car tyre range in 1998 and extended over the years. Truck tyres have been available for a while too. But a visit to The Tire Cologne this week confirmed that the Nordexx portfolio is still growing.

PSA UK adds Reliance tyres to Eurorepar

PSA UK

Groupe PSA UK has added the Reliance tyre brand to its Eurorepar programme. As a result, Eurorepar Reliance-branded tyres will be available across Vauxhall, Peugeot, Citroën and DS Automobiles retailers in 23 popular sizes, with more due to join the range next year. The tyres are available in sizes ranging from 14 to 17-inches, with prices starting from just £29.46 for the 155/65 R14 75T.

New car and truck ranges – Cosmo Tires coming to Europe

A second generation of Cosmo Tires passenger car and truck/bus tyres is on its way, and amongst this assortment of new products are tyres that will be launched in European markets. Visitors to The Tire Cologne will be amongst the first to see the new range; the range can be viewed during this month’s trade fair at Hall 8.1, Stand D065.

Point S tyre brand gains consumer-facing website

A new global website has been set up to promote the Point S private tyre brand to end consumers. The desktop and mobile compatible www.points-showroom.com site provides information about the full Point S tyre range for cars, SUVs and vans and is available in seven languages – English, Estonian, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Russian and Slovakian.

Membat’s CC-rated tyre offering experiencing sales growth in Europe and beyond

Spanish-based Membat exhibited at Citexpo for the third time this year. The company, which has been in business 10 years now, established its Membat private brand five years back. Demonstrating its private brand pedigree, the company owns the brand name, the moulds and has registered its patterns, which the firm is proud to say are designed in Spain. Production of Membat tyres began in 2012 and so these tyres are therefore entering the third year of manufacturing now.
