Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT) has an additional partner in Sweden. In addition to its four-decade old strategic partnership with NDI, the tyre maker is now also working with Broson Wheels. Introducing its new partner, YOHT shares that Broson Wheels is the “market leader of the OE2 business and leading supplier of tyres, rims, wheels and accessories for off-highway vehicles in Sweden.”
Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT) has reported the appointment of Andrew Musgrave as its country manager for the UK and Ireland. Musgrave commenced in this role last November and leads the aftermarket business for the Alliance and Galaxy brands in these markets. He reports to Ole Baek, YOHT’s regional head Northern Europe and France.
As a result of continued high raw material prices and “dramatically” rising freight costs in 2022, Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT) is increasing prices for its products from 1 April 2022. Announcing the upcoming changes, YOHT states that although it has absorbed “the majority of the costs” incurred upstream and during transportation and has thus implemented price increases that are “lower than industry average,” it is “unavoidable to pass a minor portion to its business partners.”
During the summer Alliance Tire Group began showing off its Agri Star II Alliance 372 Agriflex+ VF and lines. The first of these debuted at the LAMMA show in January, but both tyres came to market during the first corona lockdown. Tyrepress.com saw these products in action on a farm in Germany a couple of months back, but the UK’s second lockdown put paid to plans for a real-world 372 VF launch over here. So instead of togging up in extra-thick jackets and pulling on our wellies, on 1 December we headed over to the virtual farm and caught up with ATG and Kirkby Tyres, who exclusively distributes the Alliance brand in the UK and Ireland.

Alliance Tire Group (ATG) is showcasing the brand’s agricultural expertise at LAMMA, the UK’s largest agricultural and machinery show (8-9 January 2019, Birmingham NEC). It is displaying its row crop Agriflex 363 IF and the Agriflex 372 VF for tractors, the Alliance 389VF, Alliance 885 and Alliance 882 Agri-Transport radial flotation tyres for implements, and the versatile Multiuse 550.
