Liqui Moly names Dr Uli Weller as joint MD

Liqui Moly’s long-standing commercial director, Dr. Uli Weller, has been appointed joint managing director of the company, alongside Günter Hiermaier. Dr Weller will become the second managing director of the group of companies at the start of 2023.

Exol Lubricants appoints joint operations managers

Independent lubricants specialist Exol Lubricants has appointed two new joint operations managers to oversee activity at the company’s Rotherham plant.

Simon Clegg and Daniel Hector have over 40 years’ combined experience of the company and lubricants industry, with both men having already spent long periods of their respective careers with Exol.

Liqui Moly turnover up 20 per cent

German oil and additive manufacturer Liqui Moly has boosted its turnover to 733 million euro, an increase of 20 per cent compared to 2020. “This is much more than we expected in view of the difficult year,” says Managing Director Ernst Prost. “It shows what is possible, despite the adverse circumstances.”

Exol invests in expanded Rotherham site

Tyre industry suppliers Nynas, Cabot and Evonik amongst top EcoVadis ratings

Upstream suppliers to the tyre manufacturing industry Nynas, Cabot and Evonik have received some of the top ratings in the 2021 EcoVadis auditing process. Specifically, these three firms all ranked in the top 1 per cent of their peers, earning platinum status. Meanwhile, carbon black supplier Birla Carbon received the EcoVadis’ gold accreditation.

Nynas: Our oils contribute to safe & efficient winter tyres

Swedish company Nynas is presenting its naphthenic tyre oils at Tire Technology Expo next month, and aims to convince customers and producers that tyres made with Nynas oils “provide low rolling resistance, reducing energy losses and fuel consumption, while maintaining wet grip for improved control on snow and ice.”
