Dunlop Motorsport tyres have been chosen as original equipment for a new sports car from UK-based manufacturer Revolution Racecars. The Revolution, which is built upon an advanced carbon-fibre chassis and brings Le Mans Prototype technology to the customer racing and track day market, will wear Dunlop-supplied dry and wet weather tyres in size 200/580R15 on the front and 265/605R16 on the rear.
Dunlop has extended its official tyre partnership with the Mini Challenge for at least another three years. In addition to the tyre supply component of the partnership, Dunlop will also guarantee the champion a drive in one of its British Touring Car Championship test sessions. The series is now established as one of the UK’s premier one-make championships in its own right, with a strong reputation for close racing, professional organisation and strong promotion.
Dunlop’s 2016 MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) tyre range has been developed to meet the championship’s two major requirements. First, the two specifications of dry tyre in soft and medium compounds need to handle nine different tracks (as well as an additional hard compound for Thruxton’s abrasive surface). And secondly, they need to handle the wide variety of temperatures across its ten rounds.
