Dekel named president of Pelmar Group
Pelmar Group’s board of directors has appointed Tal Dekel as president. Dekel, who holds an MBA, was previously CEO of TGL SP Industries, a fully-owned subsidiary of the Pelmar Group.

South Korean tyre industry machinery manufacturer Saehwa IMC is supplying PJSC Rosava the equipment needed to begin the production of 17-inch passenger car tyres. The Ukrainian tyre maker says it is currently working to modernise its production and has invested in the equipment and tooling needed for the manufacture of this rim diameter size.
Granutech-Saturn Systems, manufacturer of the Saturn brand of industrial and mobile tyre shredders, has launched a new refiner mill. The machine features sealed roller bearings for greater tolerances in processing material down to 80 mesh. The company will bring its latest machine to Reifen 2016 (Hall GA- Stand 114), where visitors can learn more about the new machine and the company’s complete tyre recycling systems.
Retreaders in the developed European and North American markets often perform a balancing act – production levels must be high enough to ensure acceptable profits, but at the same time logistics need to remain manageable. The greater the distance between a retreader and its customer base, the more demanding and expensive the delivery of casings and finished tyres becomes. And while retreaders in non-mature markets face other issues, these must also be kept in check in order for retreading to be worthwhile. VMI, a market leader in the development, manufacture and supply of production machinery for the tyre and retreading industries, wants to tip the balance in favour of retreaders both here and around the world. Cimcorp, which specialises in intralogistics automation reports that Qingdao Sentury Tire Co Ltd. has made the firm’s biggest ever order. According to Cimcorp Sentury has ordered a turnkey material handling solution for its new factory in Thailand.
A recently-released report suggests that demand for tyre and rubber industry machinery in China will surge in the coming few years. According to the ‘Global and China Rubber Machinery Industry Report, 2014-2017’, the market value will reach US$4.07 billion by 2017. This represents a 77.0 per cent increase on the 2013 figure of $2.3 billion, which itself was 36.5 per cent higher than a year earlier and 48.6 per cent of the global total (8.2 per cent more than in 2012).
TRM, a division of Marangoni Meccanica dedicated the development and manufacture of retreading equipment, has announced plans to unveil its latest Omega 60 tyre building machine at Autopromotec (Bologna, Italy – from 20-24 May).
