The Parts Alliance has rolled out the latest Garage Essentials tools and equipment brochure. The Winter issue is the first of four seasonal editions planned for 2018. The 68 page publication, originally from GSF Car Parts, is these days available at every branch of all members of The Parts Alliance, throughout the UK.

Bendix brakes reintroduction forges ahead

GSF Car Parts’s programme to reintroduce Bendix brakes to the UK aftermarket is running ahead of schedule. The Parts Alliance, GSF’s parent company, announced a long term exclusive Western European distribution agreement for the Bendix braking brand back in October last year. Since then, GSF Car Parts has been building the range of brake pads and brake discs available for popular UK vehicle applications.

Tyre equipment proves ‘particularly successful’ for GSF Car Parts

The latest edition of GSF Car Parts Garage Essentials catalogue reflects recent optimism at the company around its range of tyre equipment, which it says has “proved particularly successful… during a buoyant 2017.” The increased range of options includes solutions from Tecalemit, Bosch and Hofman, and features an all new EAE package, combining an automated tyre changer with assist arm and wheel balancer, packaged together for just over £2,000.

Available to review in full in the spring issue of ‘Garage Essentials’ in April, the new air-con units, which include labour-saving automation, leak detection, vehicle databases and on-board printers, appear alongside a comprehensive range of workshop equipment, available from members of The Parts Alliance.

CPD deadline prompts interest surge in GSF training solution

GSF Car Parts has seen a late spike in interest from garage technicians eager to comply with the new 2017 CPD requirements imposed on all MOT testers by DVSA, ahead of an end of March deadline. Under the changes, which come into effect for the first time this year, MOT testers will no longer need to attend the five-yearly refresher course but are instead now required to complete annual training and assessment.

Sales surge for GSF engine oils

National motor factor GSF Car Parts is celebrating its first birthday after seeing sales surge on the Vetech multi-fleet engine oils launched in 2016. The standard service life (5W30 SSL Pro) and extended service life (5W30 ESL Pro) formulations were launched in March 2016. Vetech high performance C4 (5W30 SLX Pro) extended service interval engine oil followed a few months later, as the high demand for the oils became clear.

GSF Car Parts to give £2,500 worth of prizes at Mechanex

GSF Car Parts have announced details of a new prize draw, open to all garage visitors to their stand at the upcoming Mechanex trade show. The two day garage event, which takes place on 10 and 11 November at Surrey’s Sandown Park, will see the company promoting the latest from its Garage Essentials workshop equipment range. Vetech’s range of parts and consumables will also be prominent, including the patented non-flammable DPF cleaner which has been flying off the shelves, following its summer launch.
