Jason Clarke appointed to ETB wholesale department

Jason Clarke has joined retail network ETB’s wholesale department, heading a list of structural changes at the company. The Welsh tyre trade expert has 25 years’ industry experience, including positions at Cooper Avon, United Tyres, Malvern Tyres, and King David Tyres. Other changes at ETB include Dave Isles’ promotion to operations director, overseeing all ETB wholesale warehouses, and sales manager Ashley Harford, who now runs the sales team from the company’s Blackpole office. Finally, Gemma Ivill will shortly take up a role of supporting ETB’s margin improvement plan to help with its continuing and ambitious expansion programme.

Jason Clarke was recently appointed as general manager for King David Tyres, as well as becoming a director of The Tyre Group, which is made up of Malvern Tyres, Discount Tyres, County Tyres and King David Tyres.

New fitments expand Avon’s AV11 van tyre range

Avon Tyres has more than doubled the number of fitments available in its AV11 van tyre range. A total of 15 sizes are now offered by Avon stockists; the new additions include 15 and 16-inch rim fitments suitable for an array of popular light commercial vehicles, including the Iveco Daily, Vauxhall Vivaro, Volkswagen Transporter Window Van and Peugeot Boxer. Speed ratings of up to 118mph are available.

Avon ZZ5 now offering across the board ‘A’ for wet grip

All sizes in Avon Tyres’ flagship range now carry an ‘A’ label rating for wet grip, reports Cooper Tire & Rubber Company Europe. This rating upgrade comes courtesy of a reformulated compound and the utilisation of a high-dispersion silica tread. Previously the line-up, which includes W and Y speed rated fitments for 17 to 19-inch rims, included both ‘A’ and ‘B’ wet grip rated tyres.
