Road Transport Expo is a new commercial vehicle trade show that will take place at the NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire between 30 June and 2 July. More than 90 exhibitors have signed up, including Hankook Tyre UK, which plans to showcase its portfolio of commercial tyres including the new SmartFlex AH51 and SmartFlexDH51. Hankook has collaborated with Hyundai and other partners on a new sustainability roadshow. A Hyundai XCIENT Fuel Cell fitted with Hankook SmartFlex AH31 and DH31 tyres is travelling around Germany until 8 December to promote ecologically optimised supply chains. Hankook’s partners in the event include H2 Green Power & Logistics GmbH, which is building an ecosystem for green hydrogen in the commercial vehicle sector, including company filling stations; and H2 MOBILITY Germany, the world’s largest hydrogen filling station operator, which operates 87 of the 91 public H2 stations in Germany alone.
Hankook is highlighting its range of regional hybrid tyres, the SmartFlex AH51 steer and SmartFlex DH51 drive tyre at Solutrans (16-20 November at Eurexpo in Lyon, France, stand 3B127). The manufacturer’s premium retread offer, Alphatread, and its 2020-launched Laufenn TBR tyre range are also a focus of Hankook’s exhibition.
Hankook Tire has introduced a new generation of regional to long-distance truck tyres into its SmartFlex Series. It premiered the SmartFlex AH51 steer axle and SmartFlex DH51 drive axle tyres at the CV Show in Birmingham today, and reports that the first six dimensions will be available in selected European markets from November.
Next week the Commercial Vehicle Show returns to the NEC in Birmingham after a year’s absence, and Hankook Tire will be present as an exhibitor. The tyre maker will debut two new products for European markets during the show, the Hankook SmartFlex AH51 and DH51 steer and drive tyres.
Hankook presented selections from its truck and bus tyre range at the Transport Compleet 2019 fair (3-5 September, Gorinchem, Netherlands), including the SmartFlex for medium-haul and regional transport and the SmartWork for on and off-road use. As a tyre supplier for MAN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, Scania and Schmitz-Cargobull, Hankook said its participation in a fair alongside such names underlines its established position in the European commercial vehicle market.
Hankook’s Commercial Vehicle Show stand contained its CV tyre portfolio, with the recent adapted products for Euro V and VI vehicles taking centre stage. The SmartFlex AH31 and the TL02 trailer tyre were the key products in this respect, while the manufacturer also emphasised its Alphatread, retread range, which was extended with the addition of the popular 315/70R22.5 size, made available in January 2015. Hankook also hosted a football competition on its large Hall 5 stand, run in conjunction with its sponsorship of the UEFA Europa League.
Hankook has been awarded an iF Design Award for its all-season truck tyre SmartFlex AH31. Incorporating advanced design and technology to improve performance, Hankook’s SmartFlex AH31 line-up will be extended significantly in 2015. The tyre will be displayed at the CV Show in April.
