Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber Co., Ltd (ZC Rubber) reports that the machinery it uses to test rolling resistance was recently inspected by TÜV SÜD, and was certified as highly accurate.

On 4 May the Brazilian authorities passed a resolution calling for anti-dumping tariffs to be levied against Chinese-produced truck tyres with rims between 20 and 22.5 inches in diameter for the next five years.
The Z tyre brand has held a co-ordinated countrywide launch in South Africa in association with Tyrecor, its distribution partner. Taking place in three different locations showcasing the country’s diversity to accommodate the maximum number of tyre dealers, the main event was held at the Emperor’s Palace in Johannesburg, hosted by Harjeev Kandhari, CEO of Tyrecor and Zenises, global distributor of the Z brand. The two supplementary official launch events were also hosted by Tyrecor at the Oyster Box in Durban and the Taj Hotel in Cape Town.
Zenises held its 2015 Westlake European Partners event on 14-17 March at the five star Grand Hyatt Erawan in downtown Bangkok. The company was joined by Westlake dealers and distributors from across Europe, as well as by leading dignitaries from Zhongce Rubber (Hangzhou Zhongce), the producer of the Westlake tyre brand. During the event, Ge Gourong, Zhongce’s CEO, expressed thanks to those attending for continuing the development of the Westlake brand in Europe, and detailed his vision for the brand’s future direction.
Italian news reports have led to a flurry of speculation that Pirelli is up for sale and could be considering working with an Asian partner. The speculation centres on reports published by Corriere della Sera suggesting Pirelli chairman Marco Tronchetti Provera is working on bringing in an Asian shareholder/partner/owner. Bloomberg named Yokohama Rubber Co. and Zhongce Rubber Co. as potential investors.
Leading Chinese tyre manufacturer Hangzhou Zhongce Rubber has confirmed that it is planning to build a tyre factory in the vicinity of Bangkok, Thailand. Speaking to Tyres & Accessories, the executive responsible for the company’s Westlake brand Mr Ge, confirmed that the company had signed a contract with the Thai government to purchase land in the Bangkok development zone.
