Universal solution: Titan International debuts Ultimate Flex Technology

Titan International has evolved the agricultural tyre technology seen in Increased Flexion (IF) and Very High Flexion (VF) tyres and has combining this with conventional tyre construction to create what it says is a “universal solution” for tyre replacements. It is introducing this Ultimate Flex Technology (UFT) at the Farm Progress 2022 show in the USA next week.

UK farmers to benefit from Goodyear Farm Tires’ Turkish radial production

Goodyear Farm Tires will provide a significant boost to UK and European farmers in 2022 by offering an enhanced supply of radial tyres. These will come from production in Turkey, a site that has traditionally made cross-ply tyres but is now about to benefit from a new plant. From early 2022, Goodyear will source radial agricultural tyres there too, initially offering the UK and European markets 20 key radial sizes. This figure should double by the end of the year.

Scottish tractor run backed by Goodyear Farm Tires

A spectacular array of vintage tractors will take to the road in Scotland this coming weekend in aid of cancer charities as the Mearns Vintage Vehicle Club will be staging a Tractor Run from Laurencekirk to Brechin on Sunday, July 18. The run will start from road haulage and transport business Douglas Mitchell Limited in Laurencekirk at 9.30am and a convoy of around 60 tractors will make its way to the Brechin depot of leading Scottish tyre specialists Soltyre.

Titan International joins Russell 3000 Index

Titan International, Inc., manufacturer of the Goodyear Farm Tires range, has become a member of the broad-market Russell 3000 Index, effective after the US market opened on 28 June. Global index provider FTSE Russell added Titan as part of the 2021 Russell indexes reconstitution.

Goodyear Farm Tires has released a new tyre for compact tractors, a product it says will be “suitable for any job on the farm.” With the UK and European launch of the R14, Goodyear Farm Tires offers a hybrid of agricultural, turf and industrial tread patterns and both radial and cross-ply constructions. The R14 range covers a total of 17 different sizes.

Goodyear Farm Tires’ European growth has continued in the first full year of trading since the brand’s return to Europe. Manufactured by Titan International, which purchased the European licence for the brand in Europe in 2015, the agricultural tyre supplier has outlined plans to continue its European expansion next year. Agricultural tyres have remained more resilient than almost any other tyre segment despite the pandemic. The Goodyear Farm Tires portfolio was boosted by eight additional tread patterns and 65 new tyre sizes, helping to support its volume growth, and Titan will add a new versatile tyre described as an agriculture, turf and industrial hybrid in 2021.

Goodyear Farm Tires has launched a photography competition for the agricultural community. The manufacturer wants farmers to submit eye-catching photography in three different categories, Farming Landscapes, Farming Family Life and My Tractor and Machinery Running on Goodyear Farm Tires, at its website before the closing date on 12 October. Wining entries will be featured in the company’s 2021 marketing material, viewed by tens of thousands of people across the UK. The winners will also receive a share of a prize fund of more than £2,000 worth of merchandise and product.

The biggest tractor in the world, the 1,100hp Big Bud 16V-747 has taken advantage of Goodyear Farm Tires’ low sidewall (LSW) technology, after it was given its first tyre change since 1977. The Titan International agricultural tyre brand supplied Big Bud with 1400/30R46 tyres, fitting eight new rims and tyres. The giant tractor is housed at the Heartland Museum in Clarion, Iowa, its home for the last seven years.

It has also made a significant investment in new plant and equipment to manufacture tyres specifically for the UK and European markets. Goodyear Farm Tires has recruited a new distributor. South West Tyre Services, based in Somerset, has added Goodyear brand agricultural products to its portfolio. The brand, manufactured by Titan International, has been building a network of distributors across the UK and Europe since returning to the market last year. Titan told Tyres & Accessories that the deal with South West Tyre Services strengthens its position in the UK agricultural market. The distributor’s range includes tyres for cars, commercial vehicles, agricultural and plant machinery.
