In a year that saw production end at its Wolverhampton site and a fire seriously damage the TyreFort head office building, Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK Limited experienced lower turnover and profit compared with the year before. Yet while these 2016 results broke no records, the tyre maker remains confident that “the United Kingdom and Ireland market offers segments of profitable growth opportunities that play to the company’s strengths.”
Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK has moved to a new headquarters near Solihull. The 26,498-square foot ‘GDHQ’ office is located in the Birmingham Business Park and houses the tyre maker’s sales and marketing teams for its five brands – Goodyear, Dunlop, Fulda, Sava and HiQ – as well as a research and development centre for the Dunlop motorsport business.
Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK has been awarded Top Employers United Kingdom 2016 and Top Employers Europe 2016 certification by Netherlands-based organisation Top Employers Institute. The tyre maker’s UK business gained Top Employer certification along with Goodyear’s European headquarters and 11 other national and regional operations. This is the fourth consecutive year that Goodyear Dunlop has gained certification in the UK and Europe.
