Davanti Tyres launched its new flagship tyre, the ultra-high performance Protoura Sport, in early 2021. The brand says the development of the premium pattern complements its existing DX640 UHP product, giving drivers more choice within the range. “With Protoura Sport we have taken the latest in tyre engineering innovation and created a new benchmark in our UHP offering,” said Davanti’s development director, Gary Cross.
Davanti Tyres’ association with Portugal’s Autódromo Internacional do Algarve has continued, with the Oak Group brand making an annual visit to introduce new customers to its range. Davanti has been the official tyre of the AIA’s Racing School since 2017. The 2019 event saw 40 customers take on a series of driving challenges at the circuit to put the brand’s car tyres through their paces.
Davanti has launched its first range of runflat tyres following extensive research and development. The UK based brand spent several years creating a new runflat to “comfortably exceed” ISO-16992 guidelines on runflat performance (that a run flat must be capable of travelling a minimum distance of 50 miles at a speed of 50mph). Davanti adds that it wanted its first runflat to “match or surpass the performance of rival European brands” which have been producing these tyres for decades.
