Davanti has launched its first range of runflat tyres following extensive research and development. The UK based brand spent several years creating a new runflat to “comfortably exceed” ISO-16992 guidelines on runflat performance (that a run flat must be capable of travelling a minimum distance of 50 miles at a speed of 50mph). Davanti adds that it wanted its first runflat to “match or surpass the performance of rival European brands” which have been producing these tyres for decades.
Davanti Tyres has been awarded TÜV SÜD accreditation for its DX390 high performance car tyre. The company states that the accolade helps to set Davanti aside as a trusted brand, reinforcing its commitment to safety, reliability, and durability. The DX390 was tested against several mid-range competitors; in gaining the TÜV seal the tyre’s weighted outcome outperformed all tested rivals in most safety-relevant criteria, like wet and dry braking. Davanti added that its close cooperation with the testing organisation during the testing process has also led to significant improvements in quality and performance.
Davanti Tyres has become the official tyre sponsor of the 5Club Racing MX5 Cup for the 2017 and 2018 seasons. The series is described as a favourite among a growing number of car enthusiasts. Davanti will supply its DX390, while cars will carry Davanti branding as part of the agreement.
