Pirelli launches Connesso integrated tyre sensor, app, cloud system

While some firms used the Geneva Motor Show platform to communicate their vision for the future, Pirelli has launched some futuristic technology now in its Pirell Connesso system. In short, Pirelli Connesso is an integrated sensor, receiver, cloud and app platform that is designed to give motorists the most in-depth and near real-time status and service integration that has yet been offered.

Protyre increases size and quality with modern tyre retail insights

Following on from our recent interview with national wholesaler Micheldever’s Alan Baldwin, Tyres & Accessories met with Protyre retail director Simon Hiorns at the company’s Warwick branch to find out more about the marketing and technology parallels that can be drawn between the two companies. Doing confirmed that the company’s growth path is continuing, but the firm’s CRM technology and marketing strategy mean it is a question of quality as well as quantity.

Dunlop Aircraft Tyres moves to Infor CRM system

Industry cloud company, Infor, has announced that Dunlop Aircraft Tyres has selected its Infor Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system. The new system replaces a legacy system with the intention of driving “greater visibility, consistency and accuracy in the company’s sales and CRM programs, as well as enhanced reporting capabilities to sustain rapid growth”. Integrated with Infor SyteLine, Dunlop’s existing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application, the solution will initially be deployed for 33 users globally.

Protyre deploys SCV database

UK News

Protyre, the retail division of Micheldever Tyre Services, has taken on a Single Customer View (SCV) database developed by the Purple Agency (part of Adare). Micheldever Group purportedly sells 6 million tyres a year, roughly 20 per cent of the total UK market.

According to the company, the new database will allow the company to map out a customer communications strategy that routes campaigns via the most efficient channel across email, direct mail and in store. Driving deeper data insights, the new system will also help them deliver an even better experience for their customers, helping them keep their cars safe and legal whilst reducing their motoring costs by keeping them up to speed with the latest deals and offers.
