Millimetre precision: Continental algorithm-based tread monitoring “a new benchmark”

A pilot project that Continental began with Share Now in late 2020 is progressing into a broader partnership that will see the car sharing firm’s Danish vehicle fleet fitted with Continental AllSeasonContact tyres and monitored under a Conti360° Solutions contract. The partnership includes new innovations, including algorithm-based, real-time tread depth monitoring.

Continental unites European tyre services portfolio within Conti360° Solutions

Continental has brought together its range of tyre services for the fleet sector under the banner of Conti360° Solutions. Going forwards, fleet solutions will be offered as an overall package: The Conti360° Solutions contracts comprise both digital solutions such as ContiConnect and ContiPressureCheck, and ContiLifeCycle – including the ContiRe and ContiTread retreading products and casing management.

Hail, CESAR. A year after having the Conti360° fleet service administration tool integrated into its system landscape, European truck and trailer rental firm PEMA says it is delighted with the benefits it brings. The Continental-developed fleet administration system provides digitalised tyre management for the more than 18,000 commercial vehicles in the PEMA rental fleet, allowing vehicle- and service-relevant data to be continuously exchanged and updated via a user interface.

Conti360° Fleet Services has opened its newly rebranded suite of offices, at Bandvulc’s Lee Mill site, in Ivybridge. The extended office facilities have been launched after a two and-a-half year integration project following Continental’s acquisition of Bandvulc in 2016. The launch follows the merger of both company’s fleet support networks under the unified Conti360° Fleet Services banner in September 2018, and the relocation of all Conti360° Fleet Services support and 24-hour Breakdown Service teams to Ivybridge.

In the more than two years since Continental Tyre Group acquired Bandvulc, both the Conti360° Fleet Services network and the Bandvulc Plus+ fleet services continued to run in parallel, with customers receiving services from both brands. This will now change – Continental Tyre has announced the merger of Conti360° and Bandvulc Plus+. The two operations will unite as Conti360° Fleet Services, with Bandvulc’s key partners joining Continental’s current Conti360° Fleet Services.

Continental to highlight operator solutions at CV Show 2017

Full tyre service provision remains the ultimate goal of premium commercial vehicle tyre suppliers. Approaches to achieving such targets have become increasingly technological, and given the solutions developed by its corporate cousins, Continental’s tyre division is at the forefront. The German manufacturer will use its presence at the CV Show 2017 to highlight its operational solutions, designed to help inform fleets, put efficiency and safety first and provide a complete service to complement its comprehensive range of commercial vehicle tyres; products designed for LGV, HGV, and Materials Handling equipment will be exhibited.
