CDP, a global non-profit that runs the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform, has named Bridgestone Corporation to its Supplier Engagement Leaderboard for a second year in a row. It is also the fourth time in total that it has included Bridgestone on the Leaderboard with the highest rating of ‘A’ in Supplier Engagement Rating.
In addition to the leading tyre manufacturers ranked highly on the recent Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) ranking, tyre manufacturing material supplier Kordsa has scored well in the Climate Change and Water Security programs since 2016. This year, the company increased both its climate change and water security report scores from B to A- in the 2020 reporting period and therefore rose from management level to leadership level.
Following the news that three tyre manufacturers are listed on the 2020 CDP A list, three brake makers can also be found on the ranking – Brembo, Bosch and Continental. Brembo achieved the best result with As in both climate change and water security. Bosch scored an A in the climate change category.
Bridgestone, Pirelli and Yokohama have achieved places in the 2020 Climate A list prepared by the CDP (former Carbon Disclosure Project), the international non-profit organization which gathers, distributes and promotes information on environmental issues. They are the only tyre manufacturers in the global top 20 to achieve this level.
The Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) raised Kordsa’s score from C- to B in 2019. According to the company, CDP raised Kordsa’s score from C- (the first and lower grade of the “awareness” band) to B (the second and upper grade of the “management” band) in 2019 as a result of the efforts Kordsa carried out to manage risks and opportunities related to climate change.
The Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has been named on the 2019 Climate Change A List announced on 20 January by CDP, a global environmental impact non-profit organization (NPO) that aims to promote the realization of a sustainable economy. Inclusion on the internationally prestigious CDP A List of companies with outstanding environmental performance recognizes Yokohama Rubber’s efforts to mitigate climate change as being of the highest global standard. This is the second time Yokohama Rubber has been included in the CDP Climate Change A List, following its first listing in 2016.
Brembo has been highlighted as a global leader in corporate sustainability by environmental impact non-profit CDP, achieving a place on the CDP A List for both climate change and water security – two out of three environmental themes covered by CDP scores.
Pirelli & C. SpA has been recognized as a global leader in corporate climate action by CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project), achieving a place on the CDP Climate Change A list. An international non-profit organization, CDP gathers, distributes and promotes information on environmental questions. The A rating is the highest possible score awarded to a company.
CDP, the UK-based non-profit global environmental disclosure platform formerly known as the Carbon Disclosure Project, has named Bridgestone Corporation to this year’s Water A List. More than 700 companies were assessed by CDP, and Bridgestone one of only 73 companies named to the A List.
Bridgestone Corporation reports it has been identified as a global leader thanks to its actions and strategies to manage carbon and climate change across its supply chain. The company has been given a position on the supplier engagement leader board set up by UK-based international non-governmental organisation CDP (formerly the Carbon Disclosure Project). It has also received an ‘A’ in CDP’s Supplier Engagement Rating.
