The five-year-old sponsorship arrangement between Linglong Tire and German Bundesliga club VfL Wolfsburg has been given a further boost with a two-year extension of the 2019-initiated sleeve partnership. The continued presence of the Linglong logo on the left sleeve of players’ jerseys through to 2022 complements a partnership that also includes advertising on stadium LED boards, cam carpets, matchday hospitality and digital services.
Less than three months after extending its VfL Wolfsburg partnership, Linglong Tire has taken a further step with the German football club by becoming its sleeve partner. As of this season, the tyre maker’s logo will appear on players’ left shirt sleeves during Bundesliga and DFB Cup matches.
Italian wheel brand MAK is extending its football advertising presence beyond its home market. On the back of “good experiences” within Italy’s Serie A league, MAK is now advertising in the German Bundesliga.
Sumitomo Rubber Industries has entered into a sponsorship agreement that makes its Falken brand the official tyre of all four 2015-16 season promotion/relegation playoff matches held by Germany’s Bundesliga football league. These matches take place between 19 and 24 May. The Falken brand will also be the official partner of the 2016 DFL-Supercup championship match between the Bundesliga league champion and the winner of the German Cup (DFB-Pokal) in August.
A new Falken Tyre television commercial campaign is being aired during Bundesliga football matches broadcast in Northern and Eastern Europe. The ads promote the Falken brand’s ‘Be On the Pulse of High Technology and Performance’ theme and range from seven to 20 seconds in length. They are screened by Eurosport before kick-off and a half-time during the German premier league games.
Falken Tyre Europe has entered into sponsorship agreement with German football club FC Ingolstadt 04. The team has been promoted to the premier Bundesliga league for the 2015/2016 season after winning the country’s second-division league last year, and Falken says the new two-season partnership will serve as the “spearhead of a strategic sales sponsoring programme in the football sector” that will see it participate in further advertising and hospitality campaigns with European clubs.
