In the more than two years since Continental Tyre Group acquired Bandvulc, both the Conti360° Fleet Services network and the Bandvulc Plus+ fleet services continued to run in parallel, with customers receiving services from both brands. This will now change – Continental Tyre has announced the merger of Conti360° and Bandvulc Plus+. The two operations will unite as Conti360° Fleet Services, with Bandvulc’s key partners joining Continental’s current Conti360° Fleet Services.
Bandvulc has secured a three-year contract to provide fleet maintenance services to keep John Lewis Partnership vehicles on the road 24/7, 365 days a year. The fleet service provider states that its retention of the blue-chip contract until October 2020 came following a lengthy and complex tender process last year. Bandvulc will provide support for the John Lewis and Waitrose fleet from its call centre in Devon. Its BVPlus+ fleet management contracts service more than two-thirds of the UK’s supermarket activity.
The recently agreed extension with CSG (Cleansing Service Group – one of the largest privately owned waste management companies in the UK) sees Bandvulc continue to manage their fleet via BVPLUS+. Bandvulc has been involved with CSG for the past 8 years and this latest deal sees BVPLUS+ continue to manage their fleet of commercial vehicles for the next three years.
MC Rental has appointed Bandvulc as its national tyre supplier and administrator. Bandvulc Plus+ will control all of the company’s tyre related transactions through its 24/7 call facility in Devon. In conjunction with MC Rental, BVPlus+ will be expanding its service outlets to accommodate some of MC Rental’s exiting suppliers and will be utilising its national network of Key Partners across the UK. Tyre provision nationally is Bandvulc and Continental with all used tyres being returned to Devon for inspection, reuse, and disposal.
Well-known retreader and truck fleet specialist, Bandvulc is once again exhibiting at the CV Show. Evolving from its 2015 stand, with a few changes to the ‘look & feel’, this year’s stand is all said to be all “about the message”.
Bandvulc Group has appointed Graham Mitchell as Bandvulc Plus+ commercial director. This means Mitchell will work on all aspects of BV Plus+ in order to review and enhance its activities. He joins Bandvulc from Cooper Tire, where he was responsible for European sales.
