Vimexa enlarges Scandinavia/Baltic presence

At the start of this year, independent tyre distribution specialist Vimexa expanded its offices at the Technopolis facility near Helsinki-Vantaa airport. Managing director Rutger Veerman says more office space was needed to accommodate the “substantial” growth that Vimexa has enjoyed in Scandinavia and the Baltic region during the last three years.

Vimexa increasing service in Scandinavia, Baltic with new branch office

At the start of 2017, Vimexa Automotive B.V. will open a branch office in Scandinavia in order to further optimise the services and logistics it offers clients within the tyre and wheel sectors in the region and in the Baltic States. The new office will be based in Helsinki, Finland and is a fully-owned subsidiary of Vimexa Holding B.V.

Falken launches studded Espia Ice tyre designed for Nordic market

Falken has launched a new studded winter tyre for the Nordic and Baltic markets, featuring a new tungsten carbide stud design and pressure-optimised sipes for increased levels of extreme winter weather performance. With temperatures as low as 50 degrees Celsius and between 250-300 cm of snow covering the landscape for up to six months of the year, the Nordic and Baltic regions place exceptionally high performance demands on winter tyres.
