Apollo Tyres awarded at the Asian CSR Awards 2015

International News

At an award ceremony held recently in Bangkok, Thailand, the Asian Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) announced Apollo Tyres as the winner of the ASIAN CSR Awards 2015 under the Health Enhancement category. Apollo Tyres was chosen as the category winner from 134 entries from 12 Asian countries. Thailand’s former deputy prime minister, M R Pridiyathorn Devakula, presented the award to Sunam Sarkar, president and chief business officer at Apollo Tyres Ltd.

Kama tyres win ‘Stan’ award

International News

Tyres manufactured by Tatneft factories have once again been named winners in the annual ‘Best Goods and Services of the Republic of Tatarstan’ awards contest. Winning products include the Kama NR 202 (size 202 315/70 R22.5) and NF 202 (315/70 R22.5) truck tyres made by the Nizhnekamsk SSC Tire Factory and the Kama Euro 236 (sizes 185/60 R15 and 185/65 R15) passenger car tyres manufactured by Nizhnekamskshina.

Awards for Hankook’s ‘climate change’ concept tyres

Bridgestone sponsoring New Zealand ‘road transport hero’ award

Bridgestone New Zealand Ltd. has agreed to sponsor the ‘NZ Road Transport Hero’ award, a new honour to be given by the body representing the nation’s commercial freight industry, the Road Transport Forum. The award recognises the actions of truck drivers and other industry members who attempt to save others from harm during the course of their work, and Bridgestone will serve as sponsor for a three-year period.

Michelin a CNH Industrial ‘best supplier’

Michelin’s Agricultural division has landed a CNH Industrial 2015 Best Supplier Award. Division head Emmanuel Ladent received the award on behalf of Michelin at a CNH Industrial-hosted ceremony on 16 July.

VMI named best performing TKH Group company

Company News

VMI Holland BV has once again been named best performing subsidiary by parent company TKH Group NV. For the third time in five years, the developer and manufacturer of machinery for the tyre, rubber, canning and care industries has received the ‘Best Performing Company in TKH Group’ award. VMI reports that it won the award for 2014 due to its financial results and for its performance in three other key areas – innovativeness, entrepreneurship and excellence in production improvements.
