The 18th edition of Automechanika Dubai, which was scheduled to run from 7-9 June 2020, will now take place from 19-21 October 2020 at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The postponement comes in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, as containment measures restrict movement across international borders, and impact the global economy.
Davanti has exhibited its extended range of tyres at Automechanika Dubai, reporting positive reactions to its expansion strategy across Europe and Asia. The brand included its recently launched all-terrain tyre, the Terratoura, explaining that a full range of tyres is a prerequisite for building Davanti’s profile in new markets. The company also mentioned the value of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) accreditation in the Middle East – a measure Davanti has taken with its whole range, where competitors have chosen to accredit only the most popular sizes.
Linglong Tire is featuring its Green-Max Acro and Green-Max All Season tyres at Automechanika Dubai (booth S2-C12), alongside other products from its comprehensive range. The show opened on 1 May at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
BKT has launched its latest tyre for terminal tractors, Portmax PT 93, from its booth at Automechanika Dubai, of which the Indian multinational is Diamond Sponsor and Official Tire Partner. Alongside the new product, BKT promoted a selection of its tyres for the industrial sector from its booth at the Dubai World Trade Center between 7 and 9 May.

Zafco presented its own brand Zeetex, as well as the Otani, Double Coin, and Accelera and Forceum brands at Automechanika Dubai, showcasing a wide range of products for the Middle East and African markets. The show presented an opportunity to launch the latest Zeetex product line, a new Value for Money (VFM) range of four patterns for the PCR, UHP, 4×4, and Light Truck segments. Zafco states the VFM range is intended for “customers who look for value in terms of quality, price, and durability.”
A total of 220 global manufacturers showcased their tyre and battery-related products and services at Automechanika Dubai 2016, taking up 7,300 square metres of exhibition space during event which was help between 8 and 10 May at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Messe Frankfurt Middle East reported that this represents a 15 per cent year-on-year growth in exhibitor numbers over 2015, and a 19 per cent year-on-year increase in exhibition space.
