Maxxis International bolsters 4×4 range with launch of RazR

Maxxis International has launched its new RazR 4×4 tyre range. Officially unveiled at 2015’s Sema Show in Las Vegas, and featured on the brand’s stand at the Birmingham NEC’s Autosport International in January, the RazR range was developed for short course racing. The RazR name has been around for more than a decade within Maxxis’ speciality ATV tyre range, giving it plenty of off-road motorsport heritage.

Titan resumes Goodyear ATV, UTV production

Titan Tire Corporation recently recommenced production of its complete Goodyear ATV and UTV tyre portfolio. This return to full production is the result of an agreement the company entered into with Goodyear Tire & Rubber in August 2014, and is the first time since 2009 that the full line-up of ATV tyres has been offered.

Kirkby pushing brands harder from expanded site

Liverpool wholesaler Kirkby Tyres, a market leader in the UK agricultural tyre sector, has recently expanded, purchasing a further three acres adjacent to its site for the expansion of warehousing and logistics. The company now has nearly 10 acres at its HQ; the latest development represented significant growth. “Support from our key suppliers is enabling Kirkby to expand in the OE and aftermarket within the UK and Ireland,” MD Dave Dorrity told Tyres & Accessories. The wholesaler supplies Alliance, BKT and Malhotra brand tyres to the segment, as well as becoming the exclusive Trelleborg wholesaler for the UK last year. Ahead of LAMMA, Dorrity gave T&A a rundown of current activities with its major brands, as well as detailing a new deal with Linglong.

Big Foot kits for Honda ATVs now available

Starco has introduced a wheel kit for Honda ATV users that require enhanced performance and endurance from their vehicles. The Big Foot, designed at the request of Honda in Sweden, is a fully-compliant kit comprising of four wheels and tyres. The combination was selected and tested for Honda and pairs steel wheels manufactured at Starco’s own factory in Beli Manastir, Croatia with Kenda Bear Claw tyres. The Honda kit is similar to wheel kits already available for other ATV brands under the Starco Big Foot name.

Falken launches all-terrain Wildpeak tyre

Sumitomo Rubber Industries subsidiary, Falken has launched a new all-terrain tyre onto European markets. Available from spring 2012, the Wildpeak WP/AT01 blends off-road operational performance with construction and design features typically reserved for high performance road tyres. The tyre marks a new venture into the European all-terrain tyre market for the Japanese manufacturer; the tyre was previously launched in the USA, where a derivative of the Wildpeak won the 2011 Pikes Peak mixed surface hillclimb.

Maxxis turf tyre now delivers extra life

BFGoodrich Launches New Off-Road Race Rubber

Just ahead of the upcoming Griffin King of Hammers off-road race, Michelin North America unveiled a new 42” BFGoodrich off-road race tyre, reports Tire Review. BFGoodrich drivers competing in the 135-mile race in Johnson Valley, California will sport the new 39×13.50R17 Baja T/A KRT, designed specifically for rock racing.

Maxxis Dominates Baja 500 ATV

Maxxis is celebrating top performance from its Razr ATV tyres in the 2008 Baja 500 ATV. With a victory for Wayne Matlock’s team and a third place finish for Mike Cafro’s crew – both riding Honda TRX 700XX machines – Maxxis dominated the 500-mile race, which was held in Ensenada, Mexico, from May 30-June 1.

After what ATVriders.com called “almost a flawless run,” Matlock and his team-mates won in a time of 10 hours, 10 minutes and 40 seconds – a mere 21 seconds ahead of the second placed team.

Arnco Introduces QuikGel for ATV Tyres

(Akron/Tire Review) Flatproofing material producer Arnco has releases QuikGel, a new polyurethane solid liner it claims will seal most punctures up to 5/16-inch. Arnco said the new product targets ATV used on farms, in construction and for recreation.

QuikGel is a self-sealing gel that centrifugally cast, which allows it to balance the tire to “ensure a smooth ride,” Arnco said. The company said it is a “lighter alternative” to Arnco’s line of polyurethane flatproofing fill materials.

The price cut covers the whole ranve from the 23×11.00-10 Dunlop KT869 that fits the Diesel Kawasaki Mule 2500/2510 or the more unusual 24×11-10 Goodyear wrangler sport fitted to the Polaris Xpress 300. “With our new Goodyear and Dunlop pricing structure we can now supply the trade with a quality product that is fitted original equipment to many Honda, John Deere, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Bombardier and Polaris quads to name a few at a competitive price,” company representatives said in an official statement.
