ZC Rubber has launched a line of passenger car tyres developed for electric vehicles. Initially available only in the tyre maker’s home market of China, EV Pro products feature “notably reduced rolling noise” and “increased fuel efficiency” as well as “improved grip performance” for EVs. The tyre maker says it will soon introduce more EV tyre options for global markets.
China’s ZC Rubber, manufacturer of the Westlake, Goodride, Chaoyang, Arisun and Trazano tyre brands, has shared news of its recent activities in the original equipment tyre supply business, a sector where it has been present for more than a decade. In recent months the company added Volkswagen and Ford/Lincoln to its OEM portfolio, joining firms such as Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo, Changan Auto, Great Wall Motor and Geely.
Lockdown has spurred many companies on to greater creativity in how they market and sell their products, and ZC Rubber is no exception. The tyre maker has launched virtual showrooms for its Westlake, Goodride and Arisun brands, giving visitors a 360-degree experience and access to more than 50 tyre products.
In the final week of 2020, ZC Rubber launched its new ‘Flagship Series’ line, which as the name suggests will serve as a premium product within its four tyre brands, Chaoyang (Arisun), Westlake, Goodride and Trazano. Flagship Series arrives first in the Chinese domestic market ahead of its global rollout in the coming year.
ZC Rubber has appointed Craige McFerrin vice-president of sales for the Arisun brand that is offered by its ZC America subsidiary. Previously East US region sales manager for ZC America, McFerrin racked up more than 37 years of experience in commercial vehicle tyre sales before joining ZC Rubber.
Three Arisun and Westlake brand tyres, which are manufactured by Zhongce Rubber Group Co., Ltd. (ZC Rubber) in China, recently achieved Smartway fuel efficiency accreditation from the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The Westlake AT566 long haul tyre, Arisun AT570 long haul tyre, Arisun AD778 regional driver tyre all qualified of the low rolling resistance standard.
