Tronchetti Provera re-confirmed as Pirelli executive vice chairman and CEO

News

As a result of its shareholder meeting on 18 June, the board of directors of Pirelli & C. SpA re-nominated Marco Tronchetti Provera as Executive Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) attributing to him the powers for the operational management of Pirelli. Company chairman, Ning Gaoning, was given the authority of legal representation of the company.

Cimcorp separates tyre and warehousing sales teams

Finnish automated equipment specialists Cimcorp has separated its tyre manufacturing and warehousing/distributions sales teams due to increased demand. The new structure of system sales at Cimcorp’s headquarters, which is effective from the beginning of June, is designed to “support the company’s growth and form the basis for…continuing development”.

New KPMG Mobility senior appointments

KPMG

KPMG has appointed Dr Sarah Owen-Vandersluis as its UK head of future mobility, and Edwin Kemp as UK head of automotive strategy. Commenting on future mobility, Owen-Vandersluis said changes would continue to accelerate, even with the effects of COVID-19. She believes that the pandemic “will accelerate previous trends towards digitisation, customer-centricity and zero-carbon.”

Andy Fern becomes MD of Stapleton’s

European Tyre Enterprise Limited (ETEL) has appointed Andy Fern as managing director of its Stapleton’s Tyre Services tyre wholesale business.

Fern, who is currently group fleet sales director, replaces Wataru Goroku (‘Go’), who is taking on a new role with ETEL’s parent company Itochu. Go will provide continuity by taking the role of chairman of Stapleton’s during a transition period to ensure a smooth handover.

Meanwhile, Anil Gupta becomes Associate Officer, COO of ATC Tires Private Limited, Vice Chairman of Yokohama India Private Limited. He was formerly COO of ATC Tires Private Limited.

Continuity and change on the Hella management board

The Hella GmbH & Co KGaA Shareholder Committee has made important personnel decisions at the company’s management board level. Bernard Schäferbarthold’s (48) management contract was extended by five years until 31 October 2024. He will continue as managing director for the corporate Finance, Controlling, and Information Technology divisions in the long term. On the other, Dr Frank Huber (38), the deputy managing director for the Lighting business division, will take over management of the division from CEO Dr Rolf Breidenbach (56) with effect from 1 June 2019.
