moveero has appointed Hugo Burgers as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 December 2022. Burgers joined moveero in September 2021 with a senior level background from across the off-highway-industry, including Yokohama Off-Highway Tires, Warn Industries and John Deere.
Marisa Hever-Smith has been appointed as chief financial officer (CFO) of Yokohama (UK). Hever-Smith brings an extensive history within finance roles including 15 years working with Prometeon and Pirelli.
Carlton Forest Group has appointed Mark Horobin its chief financial officer. Horobin, who is ACA (ICAEW) qualified, has enjoyed a successful career in finance with his roles taking him to Denmark, UAE, and Italy in addition to the UK.
From 1 January 2023, Michael Wellenzohn will become chief executive officer of alloy wheel manufacturer Borbet, the first non-family member to hold this position in the company’s history. Wellenzohn succeeds Margot Borbet, CEO since 2019, who in future will head the Borbet Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
Reddy named Apollo Tyres’ APMEA head of supply chain
Apollo Tyres has appointed Rajasekhara Reddy as Group Head, Supply Chain for its Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA) region. In his new role, Reddy leads the regional SCM team and takes responsibility for providing leadership and direction to the regional SCM function.
Continental Tyre Group Ltd receives RoSPA Gold Award for health and safety achievements
Continental Tyre Group has received a RoSPA Gold Health and Safety Award, an internationally recognised award for demonstrating high health and safety standards. The award recognises Conti’s efforts to ensure its staff all get home safely to their families at the end of every working day.

Following his recent retirement as chairman of Sinochem Holdings, on 8 October 2022 Ning Gaoning also stepped down as chairman of the Pirelli & C. S.p.A. Board of Directors. He will likely be succeeded by Li Fanrong, who also took over from Ning as Sinochem Holdings’ chairman.
Hankook, Stapleton’s, Skidz lead 2022 Tyre Industry Awards winners
The Tyre Industry Awards 2022 were presented on 6 October at Birmingham’s VOX Conference Centre during the National Tyre Distributors Association’s 93rd Annual Dinner. The awards ceremony was sponsored by Sailun Tyres for the eighth consecutive year, while supplier member Maritime Cargo Services sponsored the dinner. Adeel Tariq has joined the Yokohama Europe GmbH team in Düsseldorf, Germany as the company’s new Vice President Human Resources & Admin. He comes to Yokohama Rubber’s European sales and marketing business from Prometeon Tyre Group, where he held several roles over a five-year period.
Gangseung ‘Tony’ Lee is the new head of Kumho Tire Europe GmbH. The tyre maker’s former senior vice president of global marketing commenced his European remit on 1 October, succeeding Namhwa Cho, who is reportedly taking on the role of president of Kumho Tire USA.
TBC Brands, one of the largest distributors of proprietary brand tyres in North America, has promoted Brent Wolak to the role of Director of Sales. In this capacity he will lead all sales and growth efforts for TBC Brands’ business.
Steve Richardson, founder of Direct Tyre Management (DTM) has announced his retirement from a tyre industry career spanning 45 years. A familiar, well-regarded name around the sector, Richardson set up DTM in 2004 having distinguished himself in a rapid ascent in a variety of roles with Central Tyres, ATS Euromaster and Motorway Tyres. He will continue to provide guidance to DTM over the coming months before enjoying his retirement.
Euromaster appoints Nick Harley MD of UK operations
From November, Tructyre managing director Nick Harley will become MD of all Euromaster Group companies in the UK. Reporting to Benoit Hubert, Harley will be responsible for both ATS Euromaster and Tructyre. Vitor Silva, the current MD of ATS, will take on the role of chief performance officer for Euromaster Group and be based in France.
