UHP+ tyres to represent close to half West, Central Europe PCLT market by 2030 – Astutus Research

The latest analysis of the replacement passenger car and light truck (PCLT) tyre market in Western and Central Europe by leading sector analyst Astutus Research demonstrates the importance of high rim diameter (HRD) tyres to the market. Between 2025 and 2030, tyres to fit rims of 18” or greater size will see growth of “almost 50 per cent” while smaller segments all see contraction, its research suggests. And further to this, Astutus Research forecasts that the fastest growth will be in the largest tyre segment – 19” and above – as the region’s car market has focused increasingly on premium vehicle segments in the first half of the 2020s and especially since the pandemic and the impact of the semiconductor shortage. The growth of electric vehicles (EVs) has also supported the increased pace of growth in HRD tyres.
