Delphi Academy announces major expansion plan

To meet the evolving requirements of workshops in the UK, Delphi is investing half a million pounds in a “significant expansion” of the Delphi Academy. The Warwick-based centre will double in size, bringing total floorspace to 1,430 square metres, with the extension featuring “brand new state-of-the-art training amenities dedicated to hybrid and electric vehicle training,” including an industry-first IMI hydrogen technology course.
“We’re committed to staying ahead of the curve,” says Luke Garratt, UK technical services manager at Delphi. “This latest investment puts a focus on future technology and underscores our dedication to providing cutting-edge resources that empower workshops to excel in an ever-evolving industry.”
Hands-on & digital training resources
The expanded Delphi Academy will house four additional classrooms and an open-plan workshop with two lifts, EV training aids, and additional Delphi training vehicles. Elsewhere, an executive meeting room with glass-fronted walls will provide a sweeping panoramic view of the workshop. It will house a dedicated breakout area, offering comfortable seating and refreshment facilities for client management activities.
The investment additionally incorporates a soundproof recording studio, reflecting Delphi’s continued commitment to delivering its ever-popular digital training resources. Equipped with cameras, lighting and a greenscreen, the in-house studio will facilitate the production of new training videos, webinars, interactive simulations and much more.
Real-world learning
“As an OE and Aftermarket manufacturer we’re stepping up our role to support workshops,” adds Garratt. “All of our trainers are experienced technicians that understand workshop life. The courses are based on real-world experiences, scenarios, and diagnostic procedures.”
Delphi expects the new Delphi Academy facilities to be operational from quarter three in 2024.
