Hankook will serve as exclusive tyre partner to the relaunched Deutsche Tourenwagen Challenge (DTC), a German motorsport series aimed at young and amateur drivers and contested by affordable cars with a maximum engine capacity of 1.65 litres such as the Ford Fiesta ST, Hyundai i20 N, Peugeot 208, Renault Clio Cup or Toyota Yaris. All vehicles will compete on Hankook Ventus Race tyres when the series gets underway next year.

“Hankook has not only been involved in professional racing formats with great success for years, but is also a partner in many young and popular sports series,” comments Manfred Sandbichler, Hankook motorsport director Europe. “It is important for us to provide a platform for motorsport enthusiasts, whether young or old, professional or amateur. And that is exactly what Motor Presse Stuttgart is doing as the promoter of the new DTC. This racing series offers affordable motorsport to a wide range of drivers, teams and companies. Motor Presse Stuttgart has developed a coherent and professional concept in a short time. Hankook is proud to be a partner of the relaunched Deutsche Tourenwagen Challenge.”
