Australia: TSA funding tyre recycling projects

Date: 17th August 2021 Author: Stephen Goodchild Comments: 0

Australians with tyres on the brain can convert this to a profitable business with help from Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA). The association representing firms across the tyre supply chain states that if someone fitting this bill has “an idea that utilises end-of-life tyres,” then it “has the funds to assist.”

So far, TSA has funded projects amounting to AU$6.3 million (£3.3 million) in total, and its Market Development Fund is again open for applications: “The scope is broad; from research grants to funding prototypes, projects and initiatives, the goal is to transform passenger and truck tyres into new and innovative markets.”

Those wishing to apply or find out more about the TSA Market Development Fund can do so here or email funding@tyrestewardship.org.au. Applications close 10 September 2021.
