Pirelli will begin its vaccination plan for company employees and their families on 16 June 2021. According to the company, the campaign is directed at all employees at the company’s three Italian sites – Milan, Bollate and Settimo Torinese – where a total of around 3,000 people are employed. Pirelli had already indicated its willingness to provide vaccinations at the company and the campaign will allow employees to be vaccinated on a voluntary basis.

The initiative continues Pirelli’s support of the Italian national vaccination effort. In April, the company offered the use of a section of its contemporary art space “Pirelli HangarBicocca” to the Regional Government of Lombardy. It has since been transformed into a vaccination hub managed by the ASST Nord Milano public health structure.
