Absolute Alignment sales ‘back to pre-lockdown level’

Date: 9th June 2020 Author: Andrew Bogie Comments: 0
Absolute Alignment has adapted its business to enable continuity of service as lockdown is lifted

Four wheel alignment equipment supplier credits new working practices due to COVID-19 for supporting quick recovery

Four wheel alignment equipment supplier, Absolute Alignment says its May sales have “matched pre-lockdown figures in March.” The company has adapted its work practices to protect customers and staff and adhere to government pandemic guidelines. Social distancing measures are followed during every installation and each training session for workshop personnel. The business has also turned to online demonstrations.

In addition, the company has increased its storage capacity in Farnborough. New equipment stock can be quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours before being moved, transported to customers or installed.

Virtual demonstrations

Chris Dear, Absolute Alignment’s technical director, said, “We are following all guidelines set out by the government, and operating responsibly while providing the best service possible to all our customers.

“In order to limit customer contact, we have uploaded to our website all of our demo and training videos – making them openly available in order to reduce the need for actual physical demonstrations of our equipment in workshops across the country. This has decreased the amount we need to travel, and it’s not only making it easier for us to comply with guidelines but it’s also making us more time and fuel efficient – with the positive impact on the environment being an added bonus.

“Our technical team is also available on the phone to talk potential customers through the virtual demonstrations of our equipment. We have had a lot of positive feedback with regards to this and our training videos, and an increased amount of customer contact via social media.

“There have been many positives to finding new ways of working due to lockdown, and I’m sure we will continue with many of our refreshed initiatives on an on-going basis. I’ve certainly got to admit that our new orange ‘on-brand’ gloves are rather fetching! Plus, this week, we are celebrating a special milestone birthday for us – 10 years of Absolute Alignment.”

Support during 2020 has also come as a result of a long-term technical partnership with Power Maxed Racing, with the Warwickshire-based British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) outfit providing Absolute Alignment with all of the additional anti-bacterial cleaner required for workshop and office sanitation. Absolute Alignment said it will back two teams in the BTCC this year.
