Petlas has released a new industrial tyre that focuses on traction and life time. According to the company, the PtxND33 is designed and developed at Petlas’s R&D base to offer “perfect traction and long life for compact industrial vehicles such as compact loaders, backhoe loaders and telehandlers”.

“The key feature of a tyre on a compact industrial vehicle is responding to the versatility of the operations that the operators have to handle” said Oguz Ay, international sales and marketing director at Petlas, adding: “…the tyre has to overcome numerous obstacles that vary depending on the site conditions and the type of operations.”

The deep and wide lugs that are located on the tread in a bid to ensure that traction is not lost whatever type of terrain the machine is operating on.

Another feature that extends the tyre’s lifecycle is the reinforcement on the sidewalls. This feature minimizes downtime and leads to a more efficient use of the user’s precious time by offering maximum resistance against cuts and punctures, some of the possible damages that can occur during long operating hours on harsh terrains.

The new pattern is being launched one size (460/70R 24), but seven more are set to be made available for the PtxND31, another radial industrial traction tyre made for the same applications.
