MTS exclusive range of car tyre brands offer ‘comprehensive’ mid-range coverage

Micheldever Tyre Service (MTS) states that it offers “the most comprehensive car mid-range tyre brand availability across the current market.” The wholesaler is exclusive distributor, or has preferred supplier arrangements, for some of the worlds’ leading manufacturers of mid-range brands, including Falken, General Tire, GT Radial, Sumitomo and Kormoran.

Sumitomo Rubber Industries (SRI), owner of MTS and the fifth largest tyre manufacturer globally, accounts for the Falken and Sumitomo brands. Its use of pioneering manufacturing processes, including the 4D Nano design process, enables it to create value tyres with award-winning performance. Its flagship brand Falken is increasingly an OE fitment for brands including Porsche, Audi, VW, Toyota and Jeep, while the Sumitomo brand offers lower-priced options, such as the BC100 tyre, which is now available in a wide range of fitments in the UK.

Continental brand General Tire has a history of more than 100 years, with manufacturing and technological capabilities to perform to high industry standards. The brand, perhaps most renowned for its broad SUV tyre range, offers an extensive quality portfolio of patterns and sizes.

General Altimax One S

General’s latest car tyres include the most recently launched Altimax One and One S, which combine rigid shoulder blocks and a continuous rib structure in the centre for precise handling and improved braking on dry roads. The Altimax One, available in 14 sizes for rims from 15 inches, features a three-groove tread pattern with a large number of gripping edges for increased traction and confidence in wet conditions. The Altimax One S has four grooves for fitment on higher performance cars to improve water dispersal at higher speeds. It is available in 79 sizes for rims from 15 to 20 inches, approved for speeds of up to 186 mph. Both tyres feature General’s Visual Alignment Indicator (VAI) and Replacement Tire Monitor (RTM) technology.
