Cooper investing US$4 million in Tupelo mixing

Cooper Tire & Rubber is investing a further $4 million into its plant in Tupelo, Mississippi. Local news sources, citing documents filed with the city said the money will be invested in upgrading the Tupelo plant’s mixing facilities.

The news follows Cooper’s plans to build an additional warehouse at the same plant. The company said it would invest $3.4 million in the project that will add a 28,400-square-foot warehouse for green tyre storage.

Cooper Tire spokeswoman Anne Roman commented: “Cooper Tire Tupelo is undergoing an expansion and has, year-to-date, increased the workforce at the plant. This is in response to increasing production needs. We are very pleased to be growing in Tupelo and to have a great workforce locally.”
