Solid tyres: ATG launches Galaxy LHD 500 SDS

The Galaxy LHD 500 SDS was specifically developed for heavy duty industrial operations

With the launch of the Galaxy LHD 500 SDS (Severe Duty Solid) at this year’s Bauma show, ATG further extends its portfolio of solid tyres for material handling, construction, mining and waste management applications. The new Galaxy tyre is suited for use on heavy forklifts and wheel loaders working in extreme conditions. ATG says the tyre offers low wear, long service life and long productivity.

According to ATG, the Galaxy LHD 500 SDS was specifically developed for heavy duty industrial operations. ATS says it features a robust construction and a tread pattern that provides excellent grip. The tread compounds protect the LHD 500 SDS

The robust overall construction with a traction tread pattern provides excellent grip. The special tread compounds not only effectively protect the LHD 500 SDS against cuts, thus avoiding costly downtimes, but also ensure low and even wear with minimal heat build-up. In addition, its high lug to void ratio provides excellent machine stability and increases the service life. The single row of apertures also helps minimise heat build up as well as improve ride comfort.

The new range is built for drop down rim operation and on display at Bauma in a 17.5-25 tyre size for 14.00-25 rims, and is also available in tyre size 14.00-24 for 10.00-24 rims and 14.00-25 for 10.00-25 rims.
