Autonavigator ranks Davanti DX390 tyres fifth

Hungarian automotive website Autonavigator.hu has ranked Davanti’s DX390 car tyre fifth in its Summer 2019 tyre test.

In a test which, unusually, also featured some winter tyres for comparison, the DX390 still managed to outrank a number of prestigious rival summer tyres and matching serious rivals from Bridgestone and Hankook for wear rate and Goodyear EfficientGrip for wet grip.

Its handling and low noise capabilities saw the DX390 – one of the first tyres Davanti brought to market in 2015 – finish fifth overall, with its combined score 3 per cent outside the podium places in a test conducted using a Skoda Octavia.

“This is a fantastic result,” said Davanti general manager Peter Cross. “We obviously strive for perfection in our research, development and manufacturing programme but we are realistic.

“We are still a comparatively new manufacturer and, both in this test and in the marketplace, we are up against brands with a longer history in manufacturing and development than we have.

“So we are proud to achieve fifth in the Autonavigator test. This is not just a benchmark to build on. It demonstrates, independently, that the DX390 is an excellent tyre that performs well, is reliable and its performance, objectively measured by computers and subjectively by drivers, matches or exceeds established rivals.

“What we do ensure is that the same effort, research and testing that created the DX390 goes into creating every tyre we produce. We are confident every Davanti tyre achieves this standard of performance or better.”
