ELTA, Lucas share ‘bright future’

2018 has proved to be a momentous year for ELTA Automotive Ltd, as over its course, the company has celebrated 25 years of trading, launched its solely owned PRO brands range and, during a couple of days at the beginning of Automechanika Frankfurt, concluded a management buyout.

There has, however, been another notable development concerning the Lucas brand, which also marks an important milestone for ELTA and its growing business aspirations.

“In order to streamline what was a somewhat fragmented structure, the Lucas brand owner has simplified its licence agreements so its licensees hold the exclusive distribution rights for their specific product groups, not just in the UK and Ireland, but across continental Europe,” explains ELTA’s marketing manager, Tim Brotherton.

“This is great news for ELTA because our licensed products are Lucas bulbs, wipers and switchgear, which under the previous agreement had been our most popular lines and of course, lighting is one of the company’s core specialisms.

“So, with the addition of another 25 un-tapped territories, which we can access through our new distribution hub in Slovakia, we are in a fantastic position to significantly grow the business and the prominence of the Lucas brand.

“As a first step to mark the development, we have designed a visually powerful point-of-sale (POS) Lucas bulb-stand, which both highlights the extent of the range and provides our customers with an excellent sales tool.

“The Lucas ZMB308 counter-top display stand gives customers an instant lighting stock solution – 140 of the fastest moving bulbs, which include both headlight and ancillary external/internal bulbs – individually boxed in the brand’s iconic green packaging, to encourage quick and easy sales.

“Naturally, during the course of 2019, we will introduce many new to range additions, across all three product groups and we are therefore confident that ELTA, Lucas and our customers can look towards a very bright future.”
