Success for Maxxis-supported Naylor at BTRDA Trackrod Rally

Pat Naylor and co-driver Ian Lawrence compete on the Maxxis Victra R19

Maxxis-supported rally driver Pat Naylor achieved back-to-back victories at the Trackrod Rally, Yorkshire. His first in class finish highlighted the synergy between car, driver and Maxxis’ R19 tyre, finishing the season in style. Maxxis adds that the top spot secured a series of excellent end of season results, as Naylor, competing alongside co-driver Ian Lawrence, sealed the duo’s victory by delivering third overall in the BTRDA Gold Star, second overall in the Production Cup and second in NR4 Class. The pair also managed to secure the Class 6 championship title in the MSA English Rally.

Racing on the high performance Maxxis Victra R19 competition tyres, the results cap a brilliant season for Naylor and Lawrence. Round 8 of the Jordan Road Surfacing BTRDA Rally Series 2018 saw the action move to the Trackrod forest stages. The tyre supplier states that the robust design of the Maxxis R19, offering a combination of performance and durability, “outlasted the competition” on the testing Yorkshire course.

Commenting on the team’s victory, Maxxis tyre manager Andrew Reitzner said: “Everyone here at Maxxis is delighted with Pat and Ian’s victory over the weekend. The R19 tyre is one of our toughest competition tyres, providing excellent grip, brake and resistance capabilities, which certainly came into full effect over the course of the weekend. We now look forward to next season, where our latest technology will once again be powering the guys to another great set of results.”
