IRSG launches ‘Women for Rubber’ competition

The UN-backed IRSG ‘Women for Rubber’ competition aims to highlight women's contribution in the rubber industry

In parallel with the International Rubber Study Group’s (IRSG) 75th Anniversary, the association has organised a photo competition to pay tribute to women’s contribution in the rubber industry. The contest is supported by Singapore Committee for UN Women and prizes are sponsored by Namazie International.

The photo competition centres on the theme “Women For Rubber”, highlighting the importance of women in any part of the rubber chain, from tapping to end products.

The best photo in the competition will win S$500, with a further S$250 and S$100 being given to second and third-placed entries respectively.

Anyone aged 18 or over is eligible to enter excluding, of course, IRSG employees, their relatives, the judging panel and anyone else associated with the running of the competition. Participants under the age of 18 must obtain parental consent.

The competition’s closing date is 23:59 (GMT+8) on 31 January 2019.
