TecAlliance at Automechanika 2018: Innovations to optimise processes for workshops, traders and part manufacturers

TecAlliance will be presenting exciting highlights for the automotive aftermarket at Automechanika 2018 in Frankfurt. “With our innovations, we are concentrating even more on optimising the processes of parts manufacturers, traders and workshops and strengthening the collaboration among them,” emphasises Jürgen Buchert, Managing Director of TecAlliance, at Automechanika. “Our aim is to develop practical and innovative solutions for the digital automotive aftermarket to make day-to-day business easier for our customers. We also want to help them gain access to new target groups and markets,” explained Jürgen Buchert.

TecAlliance is one of the world’s leading service and solution providers in the field of automotive data and process management; it is an innovator in the automotive aftermarket. Here is an overview of the most important innovations for the independent spare parts market and independent workshops.

The new TecDoc Catalogue

One of TecAlliance’s most important innovations is the new version of the TecDoc Catalogue, one of the most comprehensive and leading automotive aftermarket catalogues in the world. The new Version 3.0 is even more user-friendly and intuitive than ever before, enabling faster and more precise searches. What’s more, the repair and maintenance information (RMI) has been even better integrated into the new version of the catalogue; it has also been linked to spare parts data so that workshops have direct access to all required information (e.g. installation and removal, maintenance data and much more).

The new Order Manager: Integrated solution for the professional management of order processing

TecAlliance has significantly enhanced its order-to-invoice solution. A central web portal now provides access to all TecAlliance process modules for the supply chain: this covers order fulfilment (Order), electronic invoicing (e-Invoicing), warranty and return processing (Returns) as well as access to article text information (Collaborative Managed Data). The main advantages of the integrated solution are lower costs and simpler processes due to automation and digitalisation. CCU – high-performance PIM tool for spare parts data management

Industry data managers can use the CCU to easily and conveniently enter article information, maintain it and link it to the appropriate vehicle data. This makes it easy to improve the quality, scope and precision of the spare parts product information supplied to the market, for example via the TecDoc Catalogue, in a targeted fashion. The CCU includes export options for formats such as TAF2.4, ACES / PIES or MAM.

Get a better understanding of customers and markets with the Analytics Manager

TecAlliance will be presenting the prototype of the Analytics Managers. This means that, for the first time ever, specific IAM usage data can be collected, evaluated and presented in a standardised form by a business intelligence solution. Parts manufacturers and dealers receive solid information on market needs; they can then specifically

optimise their own respective portfolios to close any gaps or tap new market potential. The Product Management Analytics (PMA), now with added features, analyses the data delivered by parts manufacturers and, for example, identifies gaps and missing links, helping to optimise portfolios.
