Prinx Chengshan building Southeast Asia factory

During a meeting with European dealers, Prinx Chengshan’s Michael Chu shared details of the company’s plans to set up a new manufacturing facility outside of China. Prinx Chengshan is currently in negotiations with authorities in Malaysia and aims to establish both PCR and TBR production there.

Chu, deputy general manager of Prinx Chengshan’s international sales centre, told Tyrepress.com that planned PCR capacity in the first phase is 3 million tyres a year, ultimately increasing to 10 million. TBR capacity will be 800,000 tyres per annum in the first phase, growing later to 3 million tyres a year.

While Chu was unable to confirm when work on the project would commence, he expressed  “confidence it would start soon.”
