IAA Commercial Vehicles: Hella introduces intelligent lighting and electronics solutions

From 20-27 September, Hella, the lighting and electronics specialist will present its intelligent lighting and electronics solutions for trucks, trailers and buses at IAA Commercial Vehicles, the leading international trade fair for mobility, transport and logistics in Hannover (Hall 16, Stand B01). At the centre of the presentation will be products for improving safety on the road and solutions for an individual vehicle design and by exhibiting prototypes, Hella will also provide an insight into the future of mobility.

Increasing safety for professional truckers and other road users is the top priority for manufacturers of commercial vehicles and Hella offers a matching product portfolio for this purpose. Hella Visiotech projection technology, for example, allows communication via lighting to optically warn other vehicles and pedestrians or to mark out certain work areas. In addition, to implement the current ECE R48 regulation, Hella offers blinking side marker lights for trailers.

Reversing lights in particular, must be resistant against water, salt and gravel, which is why the company is introducing new reversing and work lights with plastic housings that fully protect them against corrosion. This prevents work light failure and improves safety. The Zeroglare, glare-free illumination option also provides greater safety for workers, as do warning lights, such as the K-LED Blizzard during loading and unloading.

Furthermore, the stand allows visitors to experience the entire Hella truck and bus electronics portfolio in 3D, made possible by the interactive presentation in the so-called Holobox. Here, via relevant information and video, they can study products such as accelerator pedal sensors, turning angle and rain/light sensors, as well as actuators.

Individualisation is a driving factor, not just in the automotive industry, but for manufacturers of commercial vehicles who are also seeking opportunities to give their trucks, trailers and buses a unique appearance. Hella will therefore illustrate how to create an individual lighting signature, be it with a customer-specific solution or via the modular Shapeline lamp series.
