Revolution Wheels commences expansion programme

Revolution Wheels’ rims, such as this flow-formed CR10 Allu-Lite, are “specially designed to be fit for purpose”

Following a successful exhibition of its wheels at Autosport International earlier this year, competition wheel manufacturer Revolution Wheels International says the pressure has been on to cope with demand. The company has responded by commencing an expansion programme. One important part of this is the recent acquisition of two further units on the Sherwood Energy Village ecologically sustainable commercial park.

“With our building footprint now effectively increased threefold, we will soon be able to offer a vastly reduced turnaround time for our wheels – down to three to five days – in addition to improving our storage facility, giving a greater choice of wheel designs and sizes,” shares Warren McKiernan, managing director of Revolution Wheels International.

Added space is necessary because, as McKiernan points out, most of the wheels that Revolution supply are custom finished; it is not simply a matter of so-called ‘box shifting’. “Our wheels are all specially designed to be fit for purpose, using the most advanced computer programmes including FEA and FEM. Manufacturing is equally sophisticated, using modern flow-forming casting techniques to give a precisely balanced and durable wheel.” The finishing touch for the wheels is where the offset is machined to suit each customer’s vehicle requirements, resulting in a product that is not only technically advanced but is also craftsman finished.

According to Revolution Wheels, the abovementioned expansion is just the “start of the next stage in the carefully planned evolution of the company.”
