Between 29 May and 1 June Vipal Rubber attended The Tire Cologne, in Germany. On the trade show’s first day, Vipal Rubber representatives were among the featured speakers at the “Global Retreading Conference”. Specifically, Vipal Rubber’s Head of International Business, Leandro Rigon, was invited to talk about the tyre retreading situation in Latin America, also representing ALARNEU (Latin American Association of Tire Retread).

“Despite the instability that our industry is experiencing, basically due to the low price and quality tyres, the market has been adapting and reacting, within a still difficult scenario. Regarding the European market, the recently announced provisional anti-dumping measure for tyres from China has brought a recovery expectation to the market in a medium term,” Rigon said. “Several retreaders have shown their optimism about the future, which will depend on whether this measure becomes final,” he added.

During the trade shows’ four days, Vipal’s booth received several customers, from different countries in Europe and even from other continents, who were received by the Vipal’s branches representatives in Argentina, Chile and the United States.

“We were able to close some of the negotiations that were already happening and advance on to other things that are very important for the brand. There were also some very interesting new business opportunities,” says Vipal’s Head of International Business.

Once again, Vipal’s precure treads have drawn the public’s attention, in particular the newly-awarded Alpine Symbol VM729 and VDE2, which demonstrate a higher quality standard and benchmarking, including braking in the snow. In addition to these treads, the VRT3, VDA4, VT160, VT220 designs and the DV line developed by Vipal stood out.

Vipal Rubber also presented the new Vipal Fleets system, tyre monitoring software that allows the user to perform a complete diagnosis by computer or tablet, in a simple and fast manner and in real time. Other highlights for the brand during The Tire Cologne were the equipment lines, including the VR01 Smart Duo tyre buffing machine and the firm’s water-based glue.
