Two months to go before debut Tire Cologne

With around two months before the show, Koelnmesse is encouraging delegates to book now and get special travel offers

Organisers encourage bookings with travel offers

The inaugural Tire Cologne show is approaching fast, and the preparations of Koelnmesse and the exhibitors for the leading industry event are in full swing. On 29 May 2018, the new trade fair for tyres and wheels will finally open its doors in Cologne. With this in mind, Koelnmesse is supporting exhibitors and visitors with their trade fair preparations with a variety of travel planning services and selected accommodation and leisure options in and around Cologne.

One thing the organisers are doing is offering special rates on transport to the show. Thanks to its central and convenient location in Europe, visitors can reach Koelnmesse quickly by car, train, airplane and public transport from many cities in Germany and abroad.

Cologne/Bonn airport, for example, can be reached by plane in about 60 minutes from many European cities such as Copenhagen, Berlin, Paris, Prague, London, Munich, Milan and Zurich. You can reach the fair grounds directly and quickly from there – the Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Brussels airports are also connected directly via the ICE high-speed rail network. In conjunction with Koelnmesse Lufthansa Group is offering exclusive prices and conditions as a trade fair for visitors. You can find booking codes and other options under www.thetire-cologne.com/arriving-by-plane.

The central location of the trade fair grounds in Cologne, in the immediate vicinity of the ICE train station Cologne Messe/Deutz, allows comfortable travel from many cities in Germany and abroad with the Deutsche Bahn. Again, special conditions are possible with Deutsche Bahn: www.thetire-cologne.com/arriving-by-bus-and-train

Arrival by car takes place via one of ten motorways that flow into the motorway ring around Cologne. This leads you directly to the fair grounds without being held up by crossroads or traffic lights. Simply follow the green “Koelnmesse” signs. There are approximately 14,500 parking spaces surrounding the fair grounds. Free shuttle buses run from there to the entrances.

And those staying overnight can easily and quickly reach Koelnmesse with public transport thanks to its well-connected and central location. Stops for buses and trains are located within walking distance of the fair grounds.

The Tire Cologne ticket – addmission and public transport ticket

Koelnmesse is encouraging delegates to get their admission ticket for The Tire Cologne now to save time and money: “Simply register in the Ticket Shop, select the desired ticket and complete the order transaction. After completing the order transaction, the admission ticket is available as a download. Then print out the admission ticket or load it onto the mobile end device. In this way there are no waits at the box office, and the admission ticket can at the same time be used as a free public transport ticket for arrival by public transport.”

In addition to gaining access to the show, you will get a free public transport ticket following the online purchase of the ticket in a separate e-mail. The public transport ticket (2nd class) is valid for public transport in the extended network of the Rhine-Sieg transport system (VRS). Deutsche Bahn AG trains that are subject to a supplementary charge, such as IC/EC or ICE trains are not included in the offer. The public transport ticket is only for arrival and departure when visiting the Koelnmesse GmbH.
