Goodyear fined US$69k for Georgia factory safety violations

Goodyear Tire and Rubber has been fined $69,058 for alleged safety hazards at its facility in Social Circle, Georgia, the US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) reported. The fines were issued in late January.

OSHA investigators inspected the Goodyear facility in August and found seven violations including failure to provide personal protective equipment to employees exposed to burn hazards, local news sources said.

Goodyear has until February 14 to address the alleged violations.
