Giti Tire gains two MGTS Asia supplier awards

At its inaugural Asia Supplier Award ceremony on 21 November, car accessory sourcing, development and supply specialist MGTS honoured Giti Tire Corporation as ‘Best Spare Parts & Tires Supplier’ and also named it recipient of its ‘Best Corporate Social Responsibility’ accolade. By taking home two of the nine awards given out at the ceremony, Giti Tire notes that it finished “above many other leading global tyre and automotive supply manufacturers.”

Headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, MGTS (Mobivia Trading Group Services) is a European leader in the sourcing, development and supply of tyres and car accessories. It is part of one of Europe’s largest retail conglomerates, Association familiale Mulliez, which operates more than 1,200 automotive retail points as well as two dedicated online platforms. MGTS has been a tyre distribution partner with Giti Tire for the past decade.

“We are very pleased to accept this honour from MGTS. We are happy to have witnessed the growth of our partnership with MGTS over these ten years,” says Betty Qian, deputy general manager of international sales and marketing for Giti Tire. “I still remember our meetings and discussion from the beginning with Mr Nacho Fornes (chief procurement officer and member of the MGTS Executive Committee) in Shanghai and Europe. We look forward to continued cooperation with each other and make even greater achievements in the future.”

This recognition is in addition to other recent honours that Giti Tire has earned, including from top OEM partners such as General Motors. In early 2016, Giti Tire was also awarded with Hardlines Supplier of the Year and Automotive Supplier of the Year awards from Walmart USA, the world’s largest retail company. With major recent investments and focus on its products, services, and facilities, Giti Tire says it “continues to strive to be a top global supplier of choice for all of its partners” as well as to “make a sustained and positive impact on the community.”
