Double win at SMTA Awards for Servicesure garages

Two Servicesure Autocentres, the garage network of The Parts Alliance, have been recognised at the prestigious annual Scottish Motor Trade Association (SMTA) Awards, held at the Radisson Blu hotel in Glasgow on 2nd November.

Both Autolinks Stranraer and Anderson Clark Motor Repairs in Inverness jointly received the Community Activity Recognition (CAR) Independent Garage Award from guest speaker Lee McKenzie – Channel 4’s Formula 1 presenter.

Alex McGarva, managing director at Autolinks Stranraer has supported the RNLI team that looks after his small coastal town for over 10 years.

“The fantastic bunch of local volunteers look for no more reward than the opportunity to help people in trouble and are real heroes,” said Alex.

“For the past few years we’ve helped out with ‘Park Fest’. It’s a small live music festival, where we sponsor and contribute prizes to help RNLI continue to provide this vital life-saving service.”

Meanwhile Anderson Clark Motor Repairs has made an outstanding five-figure donation to the Haven Project. Their £3.2 million appeal aims to transform local wasteland into The Haven Centre, a facility for children and young people with disabilities.

“It’s a real honour to be awarded by such an important organization,” said Graham Clark, managing director at Anderson Clark Motor Repairs. “The SMTA represents everything that we support as a business: making our roads safer by improving national industry standards.

“Since we started, building a reputation for our customer service and reinvesting in the community has been of paramount importance to us.”

Having opened its doors over 20 years ago and today employing 13 full time staff, Anderson Clark Motor Repairs has established itself as one of the Highlands’ leading independent motor vehicle servicing and repair centres, with access to the latest technical data and diagnostic equipment.

Similarly, Autolinks Stranraer, despite being a team of just four people, has endeavoured to deliver the highest levels of customer satisfaction, bringing over 70 years’ worth of collective experience working within the industry.

Both businesses are customers of Dingbro Ltd, associate members of The Parts Alliance.

Duncan Davidson, customer programmes consultant said: “Independent garages often play a prominent role in their local communities and it’s great to see two customers being recognised for making a real difference.”

Servicesure’s national network of independent garages are all carefully selected and work to a Customer Service Charter to ensure excellent standards under the watch of The Motor Ombudsman, the motor trade’s government-backed regulatory body. High standards underpin Servicesure’s unique ‘national warranty’ – which drivers can redeem with any Servicesure garage, anywhere in the UK.

“Both garages are a perfect fit for the Servicesure Autocentre network,” said Paul Dineen, head of garage programmes at The Parts Alliance. “They exemplify everything that garages can be when they put the customer at the heart of the business and we warmly congratulate them both.”
